Impression of Crown Valley Brewery Beers

Didn’t see Crown Valley on first page of St. Louis, so I thought I’d throw it out there.

Tasted six of their beers at a recent complimentary tasting in our town. The amber seems pretty good as well as both wheat beers. Don’t know retail 6-pack pricing but will not purchase at the outlet here in Poplar Bluff - they are at least 20% out of line on their markups. For example, New Belgium beers sell for $9.50 a 6-pack - ouch!

Any thoughts of the CV beers? Cheers!

Had a Bison Ale on tap at Shaved Duck in St. Louis. It was decent. But didn’t see any for sale at Wine and Cheese.

I’ve had six of their beers and thought they were okay. Of the ones I had the only ones I’d get again were the pilsner and hefe. However, they have a new brewing team there now, so I’ll probably try them all again and see how I like them now.

I have yet to try any of their beers. They are available in the local supermarkets so their distributors must be doing their jobs well. I will begin looking for some of them to give a try.
