Hi,

Had Valsugana - Fravor Triple in Bir & Fud yesterday.

Have searched the database and no sign of the brewer on here.

Can anyone who can speak Italian please try and search for some info on the net in order that I can enter the brewer and beer.

Beer also shows on this link ... http://romadabere.blogspot.co.uk/

Cheers for help in advance,

Colin

Looks like it’s brewed by Effebiti, a brewer in the Dolomite mountains north of Venice. That brewer is listed on Ratebeer: http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/effebiti-slr-fabbrica-birra-trentina/11158/

I used to live just on the southern side of that mountain. Most interesting brewer in our area was Valscura: http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/birrificio-valscura/9937/

Cheers for the info above.

I’ve been doing a bit of playing around on the net this morning and I’m not convinced the beer was from Effebiti. It’s a good starting point and there are a couple of clues in their 2 beers in that one has ’valsugana’ in the title and the other ’fravorT’ where as mine had ’fravor’ in the title.

However Effebiti is listed as a ’commercial’ brewery and both beers on the database are premium lagers.

I had the beer in question at Bir & Fud, all micros, and it was a decent enough triple that I rated at 3.6. I know nothing about Effebiti but I’m not sure they would produce a decent 8.1 triple?

I stand to be corrected but am presently reluctant to add to the database.

Valscura looks decent and that would be the sort of brewery I’d have expected this beer to have come from !

Cheers Marko and cheers Travlr - looks like you were right all along!

I’ve looked at the website (which I can’t translate) http://www.fravort.com/
and I still can’t find any mention of this beer on their site.

Is Fravort a range (Fresh beer?) produced by Effebiti?

The listing of Effebiti as a commercial brewery threw me a little!

So to summarise would I be correct in adding this beer as:-

"Effebiti Fravort Triple 8.1%" ?

I always pick the difficult overseas beers !!!

Cheers again

Colin

Their website is useless.
Just add it as "Fravort Triple", no need for the Effebiti (FBT).
I read somewhere in the internet that one year ago they were planning to add stronger beers to their production, and you got that one eventually...
