Don’t think so. I’ve probably had better luck than you. Most German lagers vary a bit. So my experience is that it can be hit or miss. Visited the place a couple of times lately and both times it was outstanding. I like that it’s malt forward and the smoothness of it, along with the good hop profile.

Other classics like Roppelt are more straight pilsner malt and lack the malt complexity I think.
