Did anyone try Schlafly’s Valentine Chocolate Stout?

I did and thought it was really nice. Per Schlafly’s website it looks like it is still on tap at Bottleworks.

Took my wife to Cunnetos on the Hill this evening and stopped for a glass of this. It is the same base as the stout with orange zest. It is much better without the peels. A nice Valentines Day offering.

Square One had its 6th Anniversary party last night. They tapped something called Sechstastic, with 6 hops and 6 malts added at 6 different times. Definitely a kitchen sink beer, but worth trying. They’ve also got the latest addition to the single hop series (Magnum) and the New World Strong Ale series (Imperial Porter).

Anything else new around? Is that New Zealand IPA still on at the Tap Room? I still haven’t gotten to it.

You need to try that New Zealand IPA, it’s pretty fantastic.

The website says its still on, so hopefully that lasts a few more days. By the way, you need to spend more time over here than on BA.

Bona Fide is on tap at 4 Hands and the Royale, and bottles will be released at the brewery today. Other retailers to follow.

Schlafly has an Amarillo Session Ale, a 4.4% bitter, at the Bottleworks.

Got a growler after work today. I love this beer. While I’m sharing this with someone I could drink the whole things so easily its ridiculous. The recent trend of having more session ales in the area is a welcome thing. Lots of flavor, not lots of alcohol - WIN!

Anyone had the new Yakima Wheat from Schlafly yet? It looks like bottles just came out. Is it on tap at the Tap Room only, or Bottleworks too?

UCBC has O’Florian dry Irish stout on tap. I need to try that one, too.

The Yakima Wheat is really nice. Great spring/summer kind of beer. They also have the six pack at Wine & Cheese. It should be everywhere soon.

The O’Florian was pretty nice for what it was. I’m not a huge dry stout fan, but if that’s what you’re looking for this hits the mark well.
