Every batch of Angels Share they have ever released except the first one in ’06 has had carbonation or infection issues. It sucks you had to find out this way, but now you know. Thats why pretty much everyone here just scrolls past Angels Share when they see it on the shelves.

this has been constantly brought up since 2009. just check out the lowest ratings for this beer, pages upon pages of "infected" and "flat" ratings.

Check this out for your edification

Brent

Lost abbey uses a bottle conditioning yeast tath just isn’t strong enough to ferment in a beer over 10% alcohol. Most beers above 9-10% are a little to thick and are less prone to re-carbonate in the bottle.

This is why a lot of breweries use a forced carbonation setup on beers over that ABV level. IE Great Divide, Avery . . .

Don’t ever buy the Cuve de Tomme or any other beers that are in that ABV bracket from Lost abbey and you should be fine.

I have known about this for three years now and have never bought another angel’s share, or any other 17$ mini bottle from lost abbey since (they’ve always been flat)

I think he was making a joke about Lost Abbey having carbonation issues being as common of knowledge as three floyds being overpriced. I see what you did there, lushawn. What’s my prize? And don’t say an angel’s share.

I can’t tell if you’re making a super-obvious statement to continue a trend of super-obvious statements, or if you’re as clueless as you think I am

My limited understanding of this matter is that by the implication of the thread title, it would mean something very different across the pond.
