Shame you couldn’t make it out last Saturday.

Jeremy (Black Haddock) is looking to organise a day out in the Wellington/Shrewsbury area later in the year so keep your eyes peeled on the forum.

I know, I saw the thread, looked a great day. Lots of pubs that although I live in the area I have never visited. Need to change that. Will be keeping an eye out for a future event.

The Shepherd Neame Brilliant Ale was a real surprise this evening. Had too many beers as usual. Time for bed everyone. Boing.

OK, so there seem to be some people around this afternoon.

I’ve had a couple of days at Kent Beer Festival so feeling a bit hungover and not fancying going anywhere, so the cricket is on, England are winning, some roast chicken is on the plate and I have a fridge full of beer.

So what are you drinking?

So far I’ve had an ok Sanford Orchards cider in my local Spoons, a rather good black IPA from Alechemy in Scotland, a disappointing doppelbock from Karmeliten, a good vegetable Page 24 beer from St Germain in France, a very good Belgian witbier (love that style), and now on an ok if uninteresting Beglian brune from Van Eecke.

Day off - did my drinking last night. Various lambic stylees and saisons interspersed with a few IPA’s - nothing remotely dark in colouration. Had Fantome Saison for the first time in years - cracking stuff, lovely tangy apricots.

Thiriez Dalva from Cotteridge Wines. My first French DIPA? OK.

Bottled Pedigree, surprisingly OK, but after a 3 hour drive I was ready for anything..

A couple of cheap and easy Peruvian macro ticks in the hotel room (Cristal - buggers fooled me with what appears to be a celebratory relabel, so two of those - & Pilsen) before heading out in Cusco for something more exotic (hopefully) by way of Norton Rat’s Tavern a little later. Hoping they’ll have their Nut Brown and Porter on this time, otherwise it’s to the import fridge I go...
