Lots of pubs that although I live in the area I have never visited. Need to change that. Will be keeping an eye out for a future event.

I’ve had a couple of days at Kent Beer Festival so feeling a bit hungover and not fancying going anywhere, so the cricket is on, England are winning, some roast chicken is on the plate and I have a fridge full of beer. So what are you drinking? So far I’ve had an ok Sanford Orchards cider in my local Spoons, a rather good black IPA from Alechemy in Scotland, a disappointing doppelbock from Karmeliten, a good vegetable Page 24 beer from St Germain in France, a very good Belgian witbier (love that style), and now on an ok if uninteresting Beglian brune from Van Eecke.

Various lambic stylees and saisons interspersed with a few IPA’s - nothing remotely dark in colouration. Had Fantome Saison for the first time in years - cracking stuff, lovely tangy apricots.

Hoping they’ll have their Nut Brown and Porter on this time, otherwise it’s to the import fridge I go...
