As Derek and his family were leaving for the day, we wished him off. Northernbrews walked him to his car, and returned with a bottle of Dave in hand. Our jaws dropped.

Kitsch was closed the one day I was in town, but the owner, Javier, told me to come by anyway. He opened the bar just for my wife and I and we sat there drinking for half the night. The other half of the night, he and his wife took us around town eating pintxos and drinking Basque sidra. I didn’t come empty handed, so we actually did an in-person trade that wasn’t planned. But, I was never expecting to get a Framboos out of the deal, or a night on the town. Great guy, and a great bar.

It’s alway fun to have these relationships and even more fun to reciprocate.
