Are there any RBers in Asheville who could put together a proposal?

Rbsg 2013 has already been decided, its in denver/boulder and mj is putting together the itinerary right now. So, don’t bother with your piece of shit other proposals that just copy the same crap that has happened at all past rbsg’s, because this shit needs to change, and this one will change it all. We’re talking a grand tasting consisting of a camp out in the boulder wilderness with tents and fires and shit...not in a stupid fucking warehouse with all you sweaty fat fucks dripping your sweat on people, drinking your special beers that make you feel cool for bringing them to the party blah blah blah...time to step it this shit up to a level that isn’t played the fuck out by you nerds!

can we get it sponsored by Coors?

That’s the issue. It’d be an unbelievable place to put together an event - ridiculous amount of breweries in a farily small radius, and easy bus trips to the others, not to mention one of the more scenic towns in the US - but there aren’t many (any?) RBers on the ground there to help with the details. If this event could be planned remotely, I’d be happy to help. But I’d also echo the point that it’d be worth waiting until Sierra Nevada, New Belgium, and Oskar Blues have their new facilities open there - summer 2014 or 2015 would allow that to happen.

I saw St. Louis mentioned in the winter thread, but how about summer? Terminus, vyvvy, Strykzone - any interest? I’m moving in 3-4 weeks so I won’t be on the ground but I can help with anything remotely and whenever I visit.

If not, Minneapolis and Chicago both would be cool.

wan’t there a recent MN RBSG?

I think eyedrinkale put together a NY proposal last year.

Also, Denver/Boulder would be sweet.

It depends on what you consider recent. 2007 was the last one in MN.

Yep. Cincy’s not ready for a RBSG yet, though, in my opinion. Cleveland could do it. Columbus, too, if Jackie-O’s were included. Nothing against the great RB members in both towns, but there aren’t enough destinations at this point compared to other former and potential future host cities.

Cleveland could definitely do it; we have more than enough stuff to fill a long weekend, and we compare favorably to most anything mentioned. With that said, I don’t think anyone is going to try setting anything up.
