The good news: You could get three bottles of free homebrew.
The bad news: There are rules.

First, the background info. I belong to a hombrew club that has a yearly "big brew" where a selected recipe is brewed commercially, and we just show up to pick up wort in five gallon batches. ($10 per five gallons for club members.) You need to pitch your own yeast and do whatever else you want to do, such as dry hop, etc.

Here is this year’s batch:

FINAL RECIPE: 6 Gal batch:
Northwest ESB (based on 2011 NHC winner)
OG: 1.050
IBU: 41
• 10.68 lb Pale malt 2-row
• 14.3 oz Torrified wheat
• 14.3 oz. English Crystal 60L
• 5.7 oz. English Crystal 120L
• 4.3 oz Victory malt
• 1 oz Galena hops, 12.5% alpha, 60 min
• 1.5 oz East Kent Goldings 5% alpha, 0 min (whirlpool)
• 11g gypsum (mash)

I’m currently fermenting three five gallon batches. They’ve been fermenting since Tuesday night. (two are mine, one belongs to beastiefan2k.) I decided to brew five gallons each with:
1. Wyeast 1968 London ESB
2. Fermentis Safale S-04
3. Lalemand Windsor
So everything about each batch is identical, except for the yeast. Each was pitched according to ’package directions.’ The Windsor was rehydrated, the S-04 was sprinkled.

Now the rules.
1. You need to have posted to this forum at some time in the past to qualify. If I don’t get enough responses, I’ll open it up to a wider audience.
2. You need to agree to post your ratings of each yeast in this thread. If you want to send some of your own homebrew back to me, that’s fine with me but I’m not expecting it.
3. Ratings will be blind. You will get bottles labeled 1, 2 and 3. And no, they won’t be in the same sequence as I’ve listed them here.
4. Bottle ID’s will be revealed after all raters have replied.

Looks like we have our six-pack of judges. I don’t recognize everybody who replied as one of the homebrewers who has posted to this forum before, but I’m going to trust that everybody read rule #1 about the requirement that you have "posted to this (homebrew) forum at some time in the past".

So, now we wait a while because the beer is still in the primary. RDWHAHB.
