Rauchbier recipe advise

Gotta smoke your own if you want to get in the Schlenkerla range of smokiness. Best you can do with commercial smoked malt is Spezial level of smokiness.

With 75-80% I have a strong enough smoke taste, but not Schlenkerla yet. I will eventually go with 100% some day. As far as the 120L use, it was an attempt to add some pronounced carmel taste. It didn’t come through much against the smoke flavor, though.
