30/31st works best! (Spoke with Theis and that weekend is fine (maybe move the GT, though)) I can’t make it 6/7th.
Buying airline tickets now.

30-31 is better for me as well.

I suppose that many of the people coming from overseas will also plan to visit Kyoto at some point. If everyone coordinates their visits here, I can arrange some activities in the area as well: Osaka, Kyoto, or Kobe pub crawl, beer or sake tasting, Garden visits, etc.

Doing this before the Tokyo events would be easiest for me, as I’ll be off that whole week. The weekend of 6-7 will also work, and maybe some days that week. Anyhow, if you are planning to visit Kyoto, please say when.

great idea Tim,"thank you for hard work".i do not know tokyo anything like you do,but ueno park during cherry blossom time is the go to place for many groups of people(it can get extremely crowded with very few places available).
if i am around, anybody from overseas that needs suggestions about the osaka area...feel free to ask!

Arriving Mar 20th - leaving Apr 3rd. Will be going to Kyoto before the 30/31st weekend.
Thanks Lefty and left_bank! ... I’ll keep that in mind.

Yes, as Sune mentions 30/31st works best.
And I hope, if you start 29th it will be a small event near Shinjuku, then we could find during the evening, for a beer and a bit of food.
We usually go to Harajuku Taproom the first night for beer and food, to get the holiday started.....

See you all there, I will try to get more danes to come.

I will make announcement next week regarding this on the general forum. People need to be aware of prices in Japan because there will be sticker shock from some people.

Perhaps the 29th could be a pub crawl and 30th the Grand Tasting. Anyways, I am sure we will figure it out.

Well...

If I look back at your initial suggestion/plan, and if I then change it a bit, then mabye it would look something like this:

Friday March 29th
Yokohama Pub Crawl

Sat March 30th
Tokyo Pub Crawl

Sunday March 31
Grand Tasting

That would suit us perfectly, because a Yokohama trip we could do on our own.....

Cheers
