Robin Hood Festival and Irish beer

With one or two exceptions, all the ROI beers I had were SIPA/APA/IPA type affairs. It was a bit samey but most of them were really competent beers. Better than the Guinness/Franciscan Well/Porterhouse offerings that have dominated my Irish rates so far.

Didn't have so many Northern Irish beers but the standout for me was the Lacada Shore (seaweed stout).

I agree. Beyond that Thornbridge Cocoa Wonderland and a Scottish stout Spanish Main were notable.
