I’m happy if my beer and water are kept full. If someone is actually keeping the tap list up to date that’s awesome. Less is more when it comes to interaction in general if I’m with another person.

Pretty much this for me. I find it’s really rare that a bar not have a current tap list posted on site and since I never go to bars or breweries to get one particular beer that is enough for me.

I do like when servers have knowledgeable and confident opinions about the beer on draft but, again, I find it’s pretty rare that that is not the case. It’s really cool if they know about the local scene generally and not just the taps behind the bars but, you know, it doesn’t really affect me negatively if they aren’t.

I went in to a new tap on Friday lunchtime. Found my return to work was blocked by around 200 cows queuing across the road to get milked. Ended up back at the tap and was told, "Drive at them slowly or get out and shush them out the way." They could at least provide cattle prods. No H&S there!

Anyone have thoughts on the bartender shoving your glass so far up to the faucet, that the faucet is actually in the head of the beer? I’m personallly not a fan of this.

Not surprising in a secular world. Why would they care?

If this happens you should refuse the beer and ask for another. That faucet could be covered in bacteria.

Yep, this action undoes any effort to maintain clean glassware.

What do people prefer here....a brewpub with table service...or a brewpub with "pub service"/order at bar and then seat yourself?

Personally, I enjoy drinking at my leisure and ordering at the bar when ready.
