SF to Russian River

Hi all,

I will be spending some days in SF this summer. I was thinking about visiting Russian River, since I’ve got some free days there. I saw that there are direct bus connections from SF downtown to Russian River. Is this the most efficient way of making this journey? I won’t have a car those days and I don’t drink and drive anyway.

Also, is Russian River worth the effort of the 2-hour journey back and forth? Time is not the issue in that period.

Don’t know about the bus thing. Definitely worth the visit, though I’d go on a weekday if you can. It’s quite the s$&@show on weekends.

Thanks for the response. Weekday is an option, so that’s what I’l be going for. Probably a monday, tuesday or wednesday in the last weeks of July. I’ll let you know once my schedule is more specified.

I’ve done the bus trip to Santa Rosa a few times. It’s definitely worth it, and RR is only a couple of minutes walk from the bus station.
