Thanks for the post.

This looks like a natural step for Stone. And it’s a unique opportunity that didn’t exist when when made the same evolutionary step.

Heh heh! That’s a good one. If only I’d read that before my lunch with Michael Moortgat this past Saturday.

Cheers (from Strasbourg at the moment...but not for much longer),

Greg

For anyone in the Berlin area...come out and join for a beer this eve. I’m meeting a friend at Brauhaus Lemke at 17:00, then will be having an interview with a journalist there at 17:30, then maybe head to Haus der 100 Biere after at about 18:30, or...?

I’m nowhere near Berlin at the moment but, if you can, try to get to Hops & Barley. The beers were the best I have had from the Berlin brewpubs, the brewer is not afraid to experiment and he’s a really nice guy as well. Brewbaker is pretty good too.

Second that - top beers at H&B.

One place that does experiment is the strange little place out in Kopenick, although the beers aren’t always that good! He’s done some bizarre stuff, though, and should be encouraged.

There’s a story in the latest issue of What’s Brewing that one of the possible sites is the threatened Highgate Brewery in Walsall. It would be fantastic for Highgate, although the story also points out that a classic Victorian tower brewery might not be the ideal piece of kit for Stone.

I really hope Stone will get this of the ground. Would love to have easy access to Stone brews.
