I was impressed by the Voodoo Ranger after going in with modest expectations. I’ve been wondering when larger and/or older craft brewers were going to start producing more awesome brews. |
How do you define larger and older? Over 100k barrels and 10 years? I really don’t know. |
I really like Lagunitas born yesterday, not half bad for a Heineken. |
I was surprised by how nice Ranger was the first time I had it, but am not a fan of Voodoo. Originally posted by joet |

Running down the 10 largest breweries, a ton make at least one really good beer: |
Deschutes Obsidian stout and Black butte for me. Founders Centennial is a winner too. |
Sierra Nevada’s Coffee Stout was very good |
Bells and Founders....all KINDS a good stuff! Originally posted by gregwilsonstl |
