Taedonggang in South Korea?

Friend of mine is heading to South Korea (and Japan) in a couple of weeks, and is interested in finding some bottles of Taedonggang (or any other North Korean beer) to bring back to the US. I’ve heard in the past that it was available at the DMZ, but I don’t know if that is still true, or better yet if it available elsewhere in South Korea. Any leads would be much obliged.

As far as I know it is only available in a shop in the DMZ. I tried to do a DMZ-Tour, but the days are very limited each month. So the 10 days I’ll be there, there are no DMZ tours sadly.... and from what I’ve heard the beers are no where else available in South Korea (my Korean sources told me). In China are many North-Korean Restaurants that stock it, from what I’ve heard though.
