I am genuinely surprised that I had this many dark beers to rate in my stash. Normally I go for blond and hoppy.

Enough about your taste in women Ian.

Blondes in Amsterdam, once wrote an article on the subject.

Now that I've done Craig in Edinburgh, you become my next must visit for RB. I'm not promising it'll be soon but certainly in the next 12 months.

Woo woo! We can put you up, and we can drag you to multiple countries too!

Raising a glass (of dark beer) to old blighty - Titanic Plum Porter Grand Reserve, brought over by martinsh to Riga.

Which then lends me to ask, what is your current favourite single hop?

That's very kind of you. I'll need to pick up a load of shitty pale lagers from the supermarkets so I'll give you plenty of warning to clear out the fridge.

Next for me is another Morrison's fest beer; St Peter's Plum Porter. Only 10 rates so far, with mine to come. Guess who is the most prolific rater of St Peter's beers? Care to comment Ian?

Sorachi ace - the marmite of hops. For a few years there sorachi ace has been tasting a bit duff, but recently sorachi ace has been tasting great. Loads of lime and coconut, thai spices, dill. Lovely, such a unique hop.

I think probably Citra at the moment.

But I will drink anything with Sorachi Ace in as it can be fabulous.

Dark beers... Hmmmm. I only have a Kölsch in the house. Maybe I should put some food colouring in it?

yeah I thought it was ok, due to the fact that it wasn't a Black IPA, just a decent stout.

For some reason I get the impression you don't like Black IPAs... would love to know what you'd think of what I'm having next then: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/8-wired-cosmic-chaos/517737/

Described on the bottle as a "Sour Black IPA", this is a hybrid style I've never tried before and I'm not sure what to expect. Only 15 rates so far and I'll be the first Brit to try it.
