What does the word "dank" mean to you?

But, DANK means to me, like an old mouldy cellar. I am assuming through complete innocence that the US version is a reference to the cousin? Can someone describe, define "dank"? danku.

"East Point, smoke some dank!" That’s from some rap song that friends of mine were listening to in high school, but I can’t remember what.
Message kryptic 09:25 Sat 10/17/2009 In slang these days it just means really good. It originally comes from people decribing really good high grade cannabis buds as "dank". Never heard any hippies use it until somewhat recently, its a term I would assume came from the hood, as thats always where I heard it used for years until it became a mainstream slang term. I agree it seems that hippies and stoners mostly took over the term and now use it to describe anything that is really good, not just buds. But yeah, the actual definition means musty and old basement-esque.
