This Bellingham brewery is going in on the edge of a residential neighborhood. The world needs more neighborhood breweries.

Good luck with zoning in most neighborhoods.

Vancouver has this problem. All the breweries are clustered in a couple of areas. Great for those of us who live next door to those areas, but not for anybody else.

But to be fair, even Stone’s Throw is, as Joe said, on the edge of a residential area. It’s also on the edge of the commercial/tourist area.

Fairhaven has needed a brewery since forever. One of the early great PNW beer pubs is there. So this is a great development.

Why not keep it on wheels and go mobile?

TTB probably wants your brewery to have an address.

Like gypsy brewers, register it at your home or office. Or plug into a bar and use their address. The suggestion, of course, is tongue in cheek.

The owners are building a sound shield against the neighboring apartments. I tried some of their early brews and really liked a couple. The spot feels like a back yard, and is very comfortable.
