When is it the best time to shop at a beer store?

When you talk about "limited" on a little larger scale, like Hopslam, their website says "1/7/13" for states Illinois, Ohio, etc. Living in Ohio should I expect to see Hopslam this week on the shelves or is this when the distribution receive inventory, and they distribute maybe a week or two later to stores?
