I was wondering who would say Upland first. They are horrible. |
Well, not horrible but not very good either. |
Upland makes reasonably nice enough fruit sours, but i really don’t think of them as a "lambic". |

Originally posted by MrRomero Hahaha ya. I woukdnt call them horrible, but the following and ratings that they have for their lambics has always boggled my mind. I should probably delete my ratings of the ones i had, but wont be spending the money any time soon to rerate. I do remember the beers very vividly though. There are farr worse attempts, but they certainky ahouldnt bare the word "lambic" on their label. But, that sam adams cranberry joke bottle is always out there baring the name. That stuff really is an awesome bad joke. |
Originally posted by Forgetfu I do consider them lambic. According to their website they do a turbid mash, unmalted wheat,... I think their problem is they don’t age the lambic long enough before fruiting. Sour Reserve was amazing, which I see as further evidence of this theory. |

They haven’t brewed it yet, but I am going to say Community Brew Works just based on the homebrew batches. |

Upland Kiwi and Persimmon are pretty fine. I have not had the pleasure to try a lot of the others mentioned here. |
