Wyeast question

Today is only the second time I’ve used Wyeast. I popped the inner packet and it swelled up tight in about two hours. I just want to make sure that’s normal. It’s Wyeast 3068, mfg 07may12. Thanks.

Sounds like it does what it should. Mine always do that.

Yup that’s perfect. They say it takes 3-5 hours, but if it’s nice and puffed it should be ready to be sanatized (the pouch that is) and added. Whatcha brewing?
