A short walk from U4 Stadtpark stop, around the corner from the Opera. Best feature is upstairs non-smoking designation, with small 6-place bar but 2 dozen dark wooden tables. Small flafscreen TV over bar.
Downstairs has long S-shaped dark wood bar with a brass footrail. Tall wooden barstools. Some tall and some low wooden tables with view out to adjacent street and into chrome brewhouse at far end of bar. Dark wood overhead 12’ ceiling with low level lighting, 4 flafscren TV showing sports (mostly English footbal) without sound. CD tunes range from folk to Rock & Roll to Hip Hop. Ashtrays everywhere downstairs, with locals typically smoking and tourists not.
Food menu includes Wierner Schnitzel @9€ and mains of veal, pork, steak qnd chicken. Burger is 15€. Starters, soups and sides from 5-10€. meat dishes looked good.
Comfortable place with clean, flavorful, and tasty house beers.
Nice bar with smoking downstairs and eating/drinking upstairs. Mostly travelers and expats upstairs. Friendly, attentive waitstaff (although they did not seem to be dedicated to a particular table, but roamed which caused some confusion), that said, there was always someone walking by who was willing to help. Food was good, beer was passable, and a little expensive for what you get.
Brewpub in the centre of Vienna. Very crowded on a Sunday night at 11pm. Everyone I heard ordering was English-speaking, I got the feeling the place is mostly attended by expats. Location is nice. Selection is of some regulars and some specials (I guess the specials change over time), overall a good choice. Wide menu of food as well, though I didn't try it. Prices for tap beer are fine.
Nice place on the way into the city centre from district 3, with an attractive patio area at the front sheltered from the road. Very attentive table service. 10 of their beers were available, in 0.1, 0.25, 0.4 or 1.5 litre. The 5 I tried were all pretty good and rated well. A 0.1l searving is fixed at €2.10 with prices varying on other sizes depending on the beer. Didn't eat here but food looked good.
Visited on 29th May 2017. Huge corner brewpub with a very busy patio area around the outside of the pub, inside the decor is pretty nice with the trad dark wood featuring. We sat outside as the weather was nice. Service was very prompt, a good mix of beers and some unusual stuff. Prices were decent. They also offer relatively small pours too. Definitely one to stop off at.
