Terrific bar atmosphere. Very diverse crowd. Beautiful bartenders. Smoking permitted. Good selection of tasty food. My only gripe is that the beer is horribly overrated. Everyone told me this was Vienna’s craft beer joint. I say stick with what you know, playing classical solos cos this is basically just a Chili’s restaurant in the heart of Vienna. 4 beers on tap....? Dat’s weak.

The only place i have visited in Vienna. Really nice to give yourself a chance to atste something different than pils/lagers. You have to take a look
Got to pay a surprise visit to the place thanks to a missed connection in Vienna. Nice American style bar-like feel on the main floor - the Sugar Bowl was on the TV while I was there. Main floor is smoking, but the upstairs is smoke free. They had only a half dozen beers on tap, including a guest tap from the US. However, the selection was certainly interesting. Food was reasonably priced and very good. Beer was pretty good as well, and all were available in many sizes for the taster mentality. Staff was great. Good place overall; glad I had a chance to try it out.
Me and my wife paid a visit to this place yesterday on the 21st December 2013 on our Vienna tour de bar trip to celebrate her birthday.
This brewpub is amazing! great beers, very very tasty food, we both had the 1516 beef burger and it was probably the best burger we have ever had! Spare ribs were fantastic, too!
The beers were delicious! The Grand Q and the Oatmeal Stout were my personal highlights.
The interior design with the never ending bar was an eye-catcher for me.
I will definitely return to this place anytime soon.

By far the best beer place in Vienna! Very nice location, made up like an american brewpub, no matter if the non smoking area upstairs, the bar with the brew kettles and live sports on TVs on the ground floor, or the big cosy sidewalk garden, which is the real highlight in my opinion. The food is a mix of typical pub food, traditional austrian food and weekly/seasonal specials. Very very tasty, even for vegetarians, for example the fantastic veggie burger (can’t remember a better one!) or the traditional cheese "spätzle". The beer: their famous "Hop Devil" is a must try, an unique american style IPA (in fact it is based on the Hop Devil by Victory Brewing) and without exaggeration one of the best IPAs that is brewed in central europe! they also have a very good Oatmeal Stout. The rest of the regular beers aren’t really worth mentioning, but they always have two special brews that always are very interesting - for example the "Savinjski Imperial IPA" which has been available some months ago and was a very unique dark barrel aged DIPA.
An atmospheric place (english style dimmish pub) with interesting and delicious craft beers. The place is crowded, so the service is a little bit slow. I would visit it again.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner while in Vienna the day after we left Oktoberfest as we needed a break from the old world lagers we had been drinking liters of. The Spaetzle my wife had was amazing. The beers were solid but not outstanding- though the Eegit’s Oatmeal Stout was quite nice. I was a bit bummed that I ordered their IPA and was given a Victory Hop Devil instead (was later told they were out of their IPA). Nice bar downstairs and dining section up. Cramped upstairs, though. Service was good but a little slow sometimes. It was pretty crowded though so it wasn’t for lack of caring. A good stop when looking for American style craft beers.
