I love the ambiance in the dining room, and I love that I can sit at a window instead of at the bar. The food is wonderful, if a bit overpriced. The selection of beer is amazing, especially if you come here often. The house beer list changes all the time. You have to come here six or seven times before you see a repeat of any one beer. Lots of great stuff to try.
Visited on Thursday afternoon, quite busy but I managed to sit at the bar. I ordered flights and a sandwich and watched some basketball in the tv monitors above the bar. Having my back turned to the seating tables restaurant area I enjoyed the ambiance more. Sandwich was good, beers were OK, prices were OK and service was good.
Spacious, garage type setting, luckily not crowded on early Friday afternoon, 9 own beers on tap plus a guest cider, good fish and chips, helpful servers, flights are available and inexpensive ; definitely worth a visit
Sat at the bar for 2017 ncaa football championship. Wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be. Dude serving was...not quiet friendly? but good at his job. Selection was solid,small, but covered a good range .enjoyable
Visited during my recent trip to San Francisco. Cool stop, and always fun to finally get to a brewery that I have been enjoying their beers for years now. Went during a Giants game, which the support they have for their baseball team makes me jealous. I suppose 3 rings in 5 years could do that, but still. Very busy for being after 10 pm. Updated hours, they are open until midnight. Fresh hop season, so I was happy to get the chance to try some of those offerings I’d never see back home. Food was great. Enjoyed the street tacos. They have a loft seating above the restaurant, that overlooks the production brewery, though I never made it up there to see it myself, it looked very cool. Overall a quick, but memorable stop. I’d like to go back.
Visited on a June 2016 NBA Playoffs game featuring the Golden State Warriors - place was ridiculously packed. Pretty good vibe, obviously. Service was great, considering the amount of people in there. Selection was okay ; I was expecting a bit more from a craft brewery. Food was delicious and highly affordable. All in all, I’d go back.
Visited on an early Saturday afternoon in March 2016. The seating area was full but we managed to get a table at the bar.
The beers were ok although nothing that I will remember for years to come. The service was good. An ok place.
Already fairly crowded on a Monday afternoon at about 3PM, luckily grabbed one of the two open bar steats. Space was smaller than expected, but open floor plan makes it seem bigger. Open kitchen is visible from the bar and main seating area. Felt like a bit of a tourist feel. Got a flight of 6x4oz for $12, and the cheese curds, of which there seemed to be a never ending supply. Crowd stayed steady around the bar the whole time though there was a good amount of sit down space open. Service was quick and friendly in spite of the crowd. After not being overly enthused by some of the cans from them that make their way to the east coast, I went in with slightly lowered expectations. I was pleasasntly surprised and would definitely recommend the stop if you’ve got the time. Easy walking brewpub crawl (plus a visit to AT&T park) from my hotel near Union Square was able to include Bartlett Hall, ThirstyBear, Black Hammer, 21A, Local Brewing.
A bit on the yuppie side of upscale pub for me; lots of wood, a cool upstairs that overlooks the brewery. Service was quick, but kind of curt, and didn’t seem to care too much about the beer. Food was alright, beer was better than average, but even the cool stuff wasn’t that great. I wish I would have checked out the tasting room and production facility, but this was a decent little stop towards the end of my night.
