7 Stern Bräu, one of only a few true breweries in Vienna, a unique range of beer specialties are brewed using the finest malts, best quality hops and Vienna’s first-class drinking water. Unlike mass-produced beers with preservatives, 7 Stern beers are wholly natural and most of the vitamins and minerals of the grains are retained.
Good quality water for brewing, careful selection of raw materials, no filtration and preservation methods, ample storage time of all 7 Stern beers until ideal maturity time and the skilled knowhow of our brewers, have made the 7 Stern specialties renowned throughout Vienna Neubau and the first of the beer com¬munity within a very short time.
Very excellent brewpub. Visited here in late December, 2011. Great beers of high quality and good range. Decent prices, good food, great service. No smoking, which is awesome. Nice ambiance. Good crowd. Great experience overall. The place is in a very convenient location and you can walk there from the city center. A must-visit if you’re in Vienna.
Very nice beer garden in a patio with a nice old tree. In the middle of the restaurant you can find the brew kettle and the mash tun (all beers brewed there). 7 different styles of beers are available. The taste of the "Rauchbier" comes very close to the original one from the legendary Schlenkerla/Heller brewery in Bamberg. Very good spicy Chilli beer and great "Prager Dunkles" . Very good Austrian food - best meal: 7 Sternpfanne.
Close to the museum quarter area. Has great interior atmosphere even we visited on mid-day and the closed area was almost empty.
They have a garden at the back where you can eat and drink under the trees..
Beers are from fine to good. If you are interested in beer you should go there feel the atmosphere and drink 7-8 different types of beers..
What is there not to love about this place. To a big open atmosphere with lots of places to sit. Lots of beers that cycle and the occasional one off. The service is as good as can be expected for such a busy place. The prices for food is higher than other pubs but it seems to shine on quality. Overall a great hangout and restarant with decent beers.
Update: after a few visits it starts to feel a bit touristy and the food starts to feel a bit mass produced. Getting tired after a few visits.
What a great place and a great find in Vienna! The decor is fantastic...with multiple rooms and a courtyard. The people here are very nice...great staff and clientelle. You just know when you walk in you’ve found something special. As for the beer...at least 7 the night we visited. Tops for me was the 7Stern IPA...really a nice halfway point between and English and American style...the later always being a welcome surprise to me when visiting larger or more poular venues in Europe (I do find them at smaller crafft beer bars of course). The Chilli beer had some real kick without being overdone...best enjoyed with some hearty fare. I also though the Bamburger Rauchbier was quite good. The real star of our visit (if not the best of their beers) was the Hanf...as in "hemp beer"...as in marijuana...of course the bar makes it clear there are no effects from the hemp to the beer drinker...apparently true from the one I had...but certainly funny to see my 85 yr old Mom’s expression when I told her what it was made from...lol! Anyway...great place...great experience...definitely a destination brewpub for any Austrian visit.
Visited July 2015. Beautiful and vast place full of nooks, a gallery floor and a garden, but I chose to sit on the bar, under the pretty glass dome. It was July, it’s in Vienna, it was bloody hot. Staff is friendly and helpful and taps consist of several regular beers and some seasonals. Proper serving, and I wish I wasn’t a tacky ratebeerian, because then I would’ve ordered their awesome Bamberger Rauchbier, but alas, tomer shared it at a tasting not too long ago.
Do yourself a favour and opt for table or the garden, because it really is a beautiful place.
This place was verry difficult to find… It’s a typical austrian restaurant and a bar. I’ve tried the Hemp Beer who was qualified by Michael Jackson of one of the better in all the austrian beers and the Chili Beer. It’s possible to buy bottles in different sizes, but you have to pay a deposit for the bottle. Barmans was verry funny because they drank to much!

Really nice snug interior, own beers on the tap are so delicious - my favourite Marzen, Bamberger Rauchbier and Chilli bier is so sharp and hot ! If you are in Wien you must to stop here for some glasses of quality beer. Also you can take away bottles of beer from machine - extremly recommended :)
