Great little brewpub/beer hall/beer garden a little bit outside the Ringstrasse. Outdoor tables under the Chestnut trees were great. Had 7 of their beers on offer. I tried the Helles, Rauchbier and grabbed a Marzen from the afore-mentioned vending machine by the door. All were well-crafted, clean and very tasty. Great spot, if a little off the path for most tourists (which is probably not a bad thing, necessarily).
Nice traditional brewpub near to the center of the city in close proximity to many famous, representative buildings at the Ringstraße. Classic interior with a big wooden bar around copper made brewing kettles. Seems to be visited mostly by tourists and the service could be better - the waiter was not particularly friendly and seemed quiet uninterested. Clear focus on traditional lager beers and Weizen and the beers are all of decent quality. Food (traditional Viennese) is average at best. Worth a visit if you are interested in traditional beer styles.
bière plutot classique pas orientée sur le renouveau brassicole avec des houblons US ou exotiques et pas de sour ou de gose, c’est un lieu pour manger et ça fait assez "usine" avec des serveurs pas causant et très pressés
Visited on 30th May 2017. Large brewpub on a main street with a tram stop nearby. There’s a large room with the bar and brewing kit in the front, a large beer garden and then a smart outhouse at the rear of the venue. The decor is trad with lots of wood and really well looked after, the beer range has a good mix of styles from their own brewery, tried the majority of them, service was great, prices good. A really solid brewpub and one I would return to.
Nice traditional Vienna Gasthaus. They have there own brewerie and the beer taste goes from realy bad (chillibeer) to some delicious ones (Märzen, weizen). The food is typical austrian. The have a beverage dispenser where you can buy the housebeer in bootles to take away. great idea.
Traditional brewery on Siebensterngasse in Vienna. Beer styles are german oriented. They had an IPA on the menu when I was their, but I have been told it was sold out. Tried the Osterbock and a Weizen instead, solid beers. Service was a bit unrude, i ave been told typical Wiener behaviour, alright.
First, I love German style beers and food so this place had a leg up before I entered. I wanted the smoked bock bit was served the winter doppelbock which was satisfyong but not great. Afterwards I got the smoked bock I originally requested and it was nice. Schnitzel was also tasty. Pretty mellow when I was there. Great food, good beers, mellow brewpub vibe. Far more legit than 1516 which is more like TGI Fridays. Worth checking out.
