Dozens and dozens of beers that I haven’t ever seen elsewhere, without a doubt the biggest selection in SW Michigan. Very helpful and friendly staff, talked to 3 different clerks, all were helpful---one in particular (owner?manager?) was telling me of his plans to bring in an even larger selection of hard-to-find brews, plus what was about to come in seasonally. Since the place is already pretty jam-packed, I don’t know where they would put it, unless they knock out a wall and take over the adjoining business.
Stopped in here after a stop at Bell’s following the Dark Lord Party on 4/29/06.
I found it to have a decent selection and even though I had stocked up at a number of stores along the way, I still found something to take home with me.
That being said, I found the pricing to be somewhat steep in comparison to other stores and it seemed like it was across the board, not just a selection or two.
Overall, this place is worth a stop but be sure to bring plenty of money if you actually plan on buying anything.
I lived right around the corner of tiffanys for a while, and I would go there often, it is THE BEST beer store in kalamazoo hands down.
The service is awesome and theres always cool people the work in there. The selection is amazing. beer is *slighty* lacking but wine and spirits is huge. You WILL find what you are looking for.
The beer selection is good, lots of rares/seasonals..you’ll find what you werent even looking for which is always a good feeling theres alot of rares and its just fun to go in there. the food is pretty good too! I <3 this place. and i think it is worth a drive just to check it out.
not a bad place but i could tell that some of the stock is pretty old. Lots of good stuff however-arcardia, stoudts, and alot of dogfish head WWS 04. good belgian selection and i didn’t see any dark horse like Philip saw. not bad but there are definately better in this town.
Stopped on the way out of town from Bells. Its an odd store that uses what little space it has very well. Tall shelves. The hard liquor section was really impressive, with one bottle of Cognac running $14,000. Given that its in a strip mall, its odd they would have this kind of stuff. Small cheese selection, high quality chocolates and some gourmet food. Regarding the beer, six packs of Dark Horse, Arcadia, plenty of Bells, great selection of Jolly Pumpkin (including the Firefly), and many Belgian singles (Rochefort series, Cantillon lambics about two solid fridges with all Belgian singles). Most of the MI beers weren’t the special releases (for example, from DH, no 3 Guys or Double Crooked, but some Oatmeal Stout). Owner is a friendly person.
i always stop in here when i’m in kalamazoo. big store, with more of a focus on wine and spirits (hence the name). but the beer selection is excellent; good imports and many west-michigan micros. a touch on the pricey side, but not bad. the best store in kalamazoo.
Drove from Grand Rapids to find Abbaye des Rocs; Tiffany also carries the Grand Cru. Quite a nice selection of Belgians, including many lambics. Also a handful of Italian beers and quite a few Russian imports. Most imports are available as single bottles. Nice local microbrew selection as well, including Bells, Dark Horse, Arcadia, New Holland, and Kraftbrau. Unfortunately most of these beers are only available in 6-packs; there are a few singles cases in the back of the store, but many of the singles are imported lagers, although 5-10 Bells are available as singles. Worth the drive.
One of the best beer stores I've found in the state with a lot of beers not available in Grand Rapids such as Abbaye des Rocs. Extensive selection of Michigan micros and great keg selection including Bell's seasonals.
