Not somewhere I’ll be racing back to. They have a handful of their own beers on tap plus a couple of guest taps. Also a few cans/bottles from other makers. Service was patchy when we visited. The main downside is that it is quite a small dark venue and smoking is permitted. There were only a couple of smokers when we visited and it wasn’t busy so I’d hate to be there if it was full of smokers. The only food options seem to be crisps and peanuts. The beer I had was fine but as a venue I’m surprised it rates so highly.
Great visit on my last day in Miami. Had 7 very good beers (flight of 6 from the brewery plus a finisher), place has great service, and a super atmosphere. Great mix of music playing. Very glad I found time to visit before leaving the USA.
What I liked about this place is really felt like a respite from the rest of Miami Beach, just kind of a quiet bar which was a nice place to stop for a couple beers. The selection was six of their house beers (contract brewed off premise) and just a few more taps. Their Belgians were really quite good and the other beers were mediocre but at least not riddled w/ off-flavors, albeit all of them were a touch on the sweet side. This is basically brewpub fair from 2002 right down to the very friendly bar tender who explains each beer to you as if people don’t know what an IPA is these days. Prices were maybe a touch on the high side but that’s Miami Beach for you. They did offer a sampler of all six house beers for $22 though so not bad if you just want to try everything. This is not exactly a ticker’s paradise but I could see myself coming back around if I need a quiet beer in the area again.
Small little brewpub in a trendy and busy area, parking is a nightmare. Service is great with the owner about will chat you up about the beer and plans. Service is great, but no tasting flights. He will however do 1/2 pours for you at a bit of a premium. Beer is actually pretty good. Not much to choose from so I don’t know if I would go back, but I was happy to have gone.
Fun way to waste a 5-hour layover at MIA. Small, dark interior, kinda British styled ambiance. Mix of 5 house brews along with many other taps and bottles from around the country and world. Very friendly and attentive staff, I never had to flag anyone down to either ask a question or order a beer (and I was at a table, not the bar). No gruff attitude was copped by the fact that I didn’t finish any of the flight tasters of their house brews (which are overly sweet as a rule, and mostly simple)...I was polite about it and they were too. I didn’t drink anything 4+ here, but I enjoyed sampling both tap and bottle stuff since there was plenty of things I’d never had.
Cool laid back place. Went twice while in Miami Beach. Prices are not bad, especially for the area. The house beers were $7 each. I also had a Brooklyn Pilsner on tap for $6 and Founders Breakfast Stout in the bottle for $8. Bartenders were very nice, especially Natalie. Hope I spelled here name right. No food available, but take this suggestion. Go to Yardbird Southern Table next door. It is a little pricey, but the food and cocktails are there fantastic.
