This is an amazing beer bar. I was here on a satrday night, so it was crowded and rather noisy, but everything from the beer selection to the decor was excellent. The ambience is set by the decoration: from the dried out hops hanging from the ceiling, to the faded beer posters on the walls, and the wooden furniture... the selection is incredible: something like 300 bottles to choose from as well as a few taps. the service was great, and they are good about serving beer in its correct glass. I thought the prices were very reasonable as well compared to what i’m used to. overall a great place and great experience.
Great bar, very old looking with tonnes of beer mats and old bottles on the walls/shelves. Great selection of beers with a menu several pages long and plenty of well-priced beers. Had a about 6 or 8 beers on-tap too I think. It opens later most days and got busy quite quickly but there was some free seats in the back room most of the time. Definitely somewhere I'll visit again if I'm back in Bruges.
Consistantly excellent pub in every respect. Deservedly popular. Brugge’s essential visit. One of a small number of cafes (Kulminator, Wildeman etc) that should be give World Heritage status. Update 8/4/18: first visit after Daisy's departure and happy to report that nothing has changed.
Since being sold BB has had a few changes, wifi and pay by cards. The beer selection has expanded in the specials section, always the first place to look for some unusual or limited edition beers. A great place to meet fellow beer drinkers from around the world, and to chat with the locals.
