45 minutes by train from Munchen center (Isentor station), great connection every 20 minutes or even less goes a new train. Nice and well organised place, quite full of people around 8:30 a.m. Very efficient waiter that alone made tables, served food and usually even taped beer...let say that his job could work 6 French waiters and this one would still be faster. More than reasonable prices, very good food. We took breakfast, one menu (eggs, bacon, cherry tomatoes bread, butter and tea) and white sausage served with mustard and pretzl, plus three beers...and all of that for less than 18€. Unfortunately no seasonal beer at the time. Highly recommendable place even if you’re not travelling by plane.
Came here on 22nd of August 2016. Nice beer garden in front of the Terminal 2 entrance. Very original idea to place a beer garden in front of the Munich airport. Beer prices are very moderate, 2.75 € for a pint. Unfortunately did not like the Weissbier I had. After taste was strange and overall very light. Did not taste the pils and seasonal they had on the menue. Also food was mediocre at the best.
A surprising find in the Munich airport, every beer we sampled was flavorful, aromatic, and technical (no faults or flaws), all 3.6 and above for me. I never have high expectations for airport breweries but this is Germany, after all, where even an airport braumeister takes his work seriously. No throwaway or mailed-in beer here. The kitchen serves a lot of food typical of the region, as well as atypical dishes such as baked turkey breast and salmon filet.
Made a short visit during a Mileage Run with SAS in January 2016. I tried the Aurbräu Kumulus and the FliegerQuell. Both beers were ok although nothing special. The place itself was big with quite a lot of quests at around noon. The service was good and the beers only cost around 2.50 EUR. I would like to see places like this at other airports.
Obviously worth a visit if you have a little time to kill at the airport. The beer is pretty decent, and not outrageously overpriced the way beer (and everything else, really) sometimes is at the airport. Adequate service. Not the cosiest ambiance, but I reckon that’s to be expected of an airport brewpub. I didn’t eat during my visit but the food looked alright. Certainly worth checking this place out if you are able.
I stopped in here during my short layover in Munich and had a breakfast beer. Their food looked good but beer was my destination and not food. There were not many patrons and the service was kind of slow. The beer was pretty good though.
