This was pretty hard to find at first. There's about 3 different alameda establishments right in this block. Inside it's very open with lots of seating. You can see the bar, the entire brewery, the kitchen, everything from almost every table in the place. It was clean and well decored. The service was awesome (and attractive) with a good supply of beer. The beer selection was phenomenal with some cask offerings as well as their usual line up of award winning stuff. The food was typical and average for a brewpub restaurant, so that means it was still pretty good. I liked this place a lot.
Located in a quaint neighborhood within walking distance to Beaumont Market. Atmosphere is strange but fine, can see all the brewing supplies equipment behind the bar. Had a few of their beers and was surprised at how good the Hefe was at the time. Just got the taquitos but they were swell, good dipping sauce. Worth a stop if youíre in the neighborhood. No complaints but not a must-stop.
Really good beer. It was a surprise to find a bock here! The food smelled so appetizing I decided on the calamari, which was some of the best I have had and tender and not chewy. Their selection is not too ambitious and they offer a great selection in my opinion without a disappointment.
First place we went to in Portland. We were there for a late lunch (1pm) and it was fairly dead. Nothing good or bad about the setting. We chose a spot near the street. Service was fine. Nice selection of very drinkable beers. Prices seemed in line. The only thing I would say is that it just does not leave an impression. The beers and food and service were fine, but I just didnít feel much about the place. Perhaps that is a function of the lunch situation....I have no reason to rate this lower than an 80, Iím just saying that something seemed to be missing.
