Visited Oct 2016. Modern looking brewpub in centre of town, lighter and more airy than the more traditional places. Service was OK, certainly friendlier than some of the other places that we went to in town. Had a taster of the ’core range’ and found the beers to be mostly average (previously had the Dinkelbier here, which I really liked). Prices OK. Not bad but definitely not a ’must visit’ place.
Service was a bit underwhelming, prices ok, the beers arent great, nah dont reccomend this if you dont have much time and need to cut places. one PLUS though, they offer 0.2L flights of their beers!!! thats rare in Bamberg.
Ambiance - Big German brewpub. A bit more modern in the design. Fairly empty at the time of our visit which made it quite calm and relaxing but I suspect this place fills up during the afternoon. Service - Friendly and helpful. Selection - four of their own beers on tap. Offers flights which was a nice plus. Food - Did not eat. Value - Fair for the area. Very cheap by Swedish standards. Additional comments - None!
We arrived there about 8 pm on Sunday. Got Hell and Weizen, both bland. We didn’t got chance to try Dunkel, because they were closing. Quite strange, as all places around were still operating and none of them was empty at that time. Nearby Schlenkerla was even overcrowded. Service was very poor, when I asked for wi-fi password they said they don’t know. Seriously, staff don’t know the password for their own wi-fi?
Good beers, tasty traditional local dishes. Spacious, two copper tanks visible. One room at the back crowded with green plants. Friendly young staff, some english. I liked it. Good combination of spicy sausages and local beers.
-- Beers should be colder, and that combined with ad for icecream, could bring more guest into this nice place on a hot day..
