Impressive place, spacious and clean... almost a little sterile perhaps. Prices were high for both beer and food, however the quality of both were very good... The dunkel was amazing.
Staff were pretty nice. Definitely worth a visit.
Re-visited on 11th Sep 2018, 12 years since I first walked into the place: very little has changed, but I have up'ed my scoring because it's not a bad place for two new rates and a quiet relaxing rest from the manic streets outside full of tourists. My old review still stands: Completely different to all the other brewpubs and bars of Bamberg. This is bright, young looking and airy.
Plants, flowers and light woods everywhere, not smoke stained yet or dark anywhere that I could see.
Very quiet on my visit (Friday lunchtime, 29 Sept 2006), so the atmosphere was hard to judge, but it was a pleasant experience all the same.
The young lady behind the bar had a nice smile and brought our beers to us very swiftly, so service was good.
Only two beers on draught during my stay, helles and a dunkel, both looked, smelt and tasted fine, but nothing to exciting about them, sorry didn’t review either, other things on my mind (like where’s the next bar at?).
Not a place I would use on a regular basis if I lived closer, but still a bar I can recommend, to the under 40’s mostly.
Nice light blue exterior near the corner. Big wooden tables and long wooden benches. The bar is on the right in the center and copper tanks on display. Service was pretty fast especially due to the beer festival. Schlenkerla was really busy at this time.

It took me 11 visits to finally set foot in this place. A touristy and large place located right next to the Schlenkerla. Beers are okay to solid, prices are fine, service is quick and nice. Not too bad, but there are better options in town.
Visited Oct 2016. Modern looking brewpub in centre of town, lighter and more airy than the more traditional places. Service was OK, certainly friendlier than some of the other places that we went to in town. Had a taster of the ’core range’ and found the beers to be mostly average (previously had the Dinkelbier here, which I really liked). Prices OK. Not bad but definitely not a ’must visit’ place.
Service was a bit underwhelming, prices ok, the beers arent great, nah dont reccomend this if you dont have much time and need to cut places. one PLUS though, they offer 0.2L flights of their beers!!! thats rare in Bamberg.
Ambiance - Big German brewpub. A bit more modern in the design. Fairly empty at the time of our visit which made it quite calm and relaxing but I suspect this place fills up during the afternoon. Service - Friendly and helpful. Selection - four of their own beers on tap. Offers flights which was a nice plus. Food - Did not eat. Value - Fair for the area. Very cheap by Swedish standards. Additional comments - None!
