Amnesia is one of the better breweries beer-wise in the city. I personally think the brewpub is underrated and don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t like it. It’s a cool, laid back atmosphere in a neat neighborhood (though not stereotypically nice). The beers are always solid and I like the patio outside. Plus there’s a bunch of other awesome places in the area. North Portland rules.
Went to this place while up in Washington. It was recommended to me by the guy that works at "By The Bottle". Very cool guy that recommended some cool stuff. This place was really cool. Good atmosphere, people outside sitting at picnic style tables, barbecues going, music playing. Pretty good beer too. I really liked their IPA they had and the porter was really good too. The bartender chick was pretty cute and she gave me one free beer. I found it interesting that they did not sell any of their beer bottled. If you wanted beer to go, they served it to you in a 1 liter mason jar. I have never seen that before, pretty cool.
Very cool and friendly brewpub in the Mississippi area of Portland. The beers were enjoyable and large and pleasant surroundings. Definitely worth going to.

Just up the block from Widmer brewing. Has an ex-automotive shop feel with good ambiance. Nice sized patio. Inside is concrete and steel walled, but tastefully done and decored. The staff is all ’Portland types’, very nice people though. Some decent beers on tap, nothing awesome. Cool relaxed feeling. Park benches for tables. Hell yeah.
Beers I had here were great (ESB and Porter). Has a really cool, laid back, neighborhood type feel to it. Did not eat anything but the menu looked nice. Very cool area in front underneath a tent with a bunch of long benches, but it was raining so had to stay inside. My friend and I were just visiting Portland for a week and the bartender helped us find a lot of places around town. The brewer, Chris, also invited us back to the brewery to check out his operation, very nice guy. Would highly recommend this place if you are in town.
A pretty cool place, unpretentious, corrugated metal building, food cooked on a grill outside. Tap selection is mainly house beers, I believe they had one guest tap on. Beers were fairly solid, snausage was good. Prices are reasonable. Decent place to go.
Cool little warehouse building with the lovely aroma of grain. Picnic benches inside and out make this place very laid back. Sampler was a great deal ($8 gets you 7 four ounce samples) and the beers were good not great. They had a food menu, but we were just drinking through. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
Here I sit in Old Portland neighborhood drinking a great beer in a place that if not for the sign I would have never stopped. Finally after a few years of trying I had the time to stop at Amnesia brewing great brews, service and food. I liked the atmosphere and the brews where so sound and high caliber this was a true Portland Craft brewer. The food I found odd to be cooked in an outdoor setting under a semi permanent tent but all in all it was very good. This is not for the kids this is for the true craft beer seeker. There will be no wimpy pale ales here there all have hops and then more hops. I recommended this place for the hard core beer geek.
I really liked this place, the building was basically a shack with picnic tables inside and was extremely packed when we visited. The service was very prompt, and it probably helped that one of my friends knew one of the bartenders. The beers were so-so outside of the Copacetic IPA, which was delicious. Our group of four made fast friends with some ex-pats and had a fantastic conversation with them for about 45 minutes. Very laid back vibe, I’d go back anytime.
