I called in my second beer pass of the trip and took an Uber from Moose’s Tooth to ABC while the girls went back to the hotel to swim. I could not miss visiting one of my favorite brewers and masters of Brett. The place is in an industrial area, not too far from Midnight Sun. This is a working facility; beautiful fodres on display that you could walk around. Their tiny little bottling setup was there as well. Can’t believe the go distro with that little thing. Everything was unbelievably clean. These guys must have Sean Hill level of cleanliness/OCD. Wow. Really neat. The taproom itself is small, with a bar to basically order from, a large handwritten tap board behind the bar, a few tables and row of counter seating inside and a few more outside the side door. No food or anything. A few clothing items for sale, as well as nice ABV Teku glasses

They had 8 taps available when i was there, including many of their core Brett beers and a few taproom specials. Everything is still served only in full pours, which is a challenge for the solo ticker. (I was busy leging Shig while I was there). I still had three and all were high quality as one would expect. They also have a good selection of to-go bottles, most of which will or have made it into distro in Cali, so I didnt bother with those. The unique ones were Crazy Rays (sold out, unfortunately), and Scotch BA Darkest Hour, which I picked to take back. Note that the printed bottle list is not entirely accurate. Check the actual bottles to the right of the bar and or ask what else they might have.

You know, this is the kind of place I love. World class beer, beautiful brewing equipment, laid back attitude, no superfluous crap. If they would just do half pours it would be beer heaven. Place rating #984 - closing in!

There may actually be more wood in this brewery than stainless, and the sight of all those fodres certainly makes one thirsty. The interior is home to some nice metal artwork and a few paintings. The large tap board makes for easy reading and choosing of your next beer, offered at full pours of course.

Relatively nice Tap room. Lots of wood, doors open to small patio with fire pit. Beers are expensive at 7 a glass. No 32oz growler fills. No tasters. Small sitting area, no food trucks. Nice to visit but wouldn't want to stay.

The new tasting room/brewpub. Ambiance is nice, sitting next to foedors. Beer selection is great. 10 on tap, 8 bottles for in house, 6 to go. Great glassware for service. No food, but byob (bring your own burger) is totally ok. The only real flaw is no sampler flights., but they’ll let you try everything on draft. And no kitchen.

The new brewery is amazing! Gabe pulled out all the stops to make it one heck of a place. They have a taproom ran by his sister and currently you have full access to roam around. The aging room is very impressive. They offer several beers on tap, limited growler pours, and a vast list of on premises bottles for purchase. They also have swag and a few bottles for to go sale. When not busy Gabe is full access to talk with and very personable. The taproom isn’t very big so I’m glad we are allowed to roam around. I’m sure I will stop by here any time I am on the south side of Anchorage.

Visited here during the Great Alaska Barleywine Festival and had a chance to discuss sour beers with Gabe. Their stuff is amazing, but as Ira and others have said, you can’t just visit, it’s a working brewery, not a pub. But if you contact them in advance, who knows? Old rating - 72. New location, in an industrial location south of town. Foeders everywhere. Small tasting area with bar, overflow room, nicely done outdoor area. You have free reign to wander around the brewhouse. A dozen amazing beers on tap, and a dozen more amazing bottles, priced lower for take-away, but you could also open them there. Two snack items were the only food. A must-stop while in Anchorage.

This is a brewery only. They are in the basement in the Sleeping Lady Brewery. Separate breweries trust me and Anchorage brewing is doing some amazing stuff with barrels and adding Brett. This is going to be fun to watch as Gabe becomes the brewing artisan and the brews get worldwide attention.
