This new bar is sort of patterned after Toronado in San Francisco, but is newer, cleaner and not as funky. There are about 30 mostly excellent and reasonably priced brews on tap, mostly local and Belgian. There is a nice bar with flat screen TVs, several tables and a large outdoor patio. The barkeep was very friendly and helpful.
NOTE: CASH ONLY. Visited March 17. A dark, sticky-floored, boisterous joint that also features a large front patio. The tap list was huge and offered enough interesting options that I probably could have spent several hours here doing work. I ended up crushing some Boneyard and a vintage Orval, which certainly doesn’t suck as far as drinking experiences go. Overall, I’d rate this as perhaps the best beer bar that I visited in Portland.
Lively place with a huge taplist consisting of a very fine selection. Had a healthy sized glass of fresh Pliny and a lovely De Garde Sour on the German biergarten style patio. Didn’t even get around to looking at the bottle menu, which is supposed to be very good as well. Warmly recommended as one of the best Portland beer places, one to return to. Cash only, a stones throw from the excellent Beer Mongers.
Great craftbeer bar in Portland...huge selection of drafts and bottles. The drafts are fresh and poured well...the staff is great...and the place has a cool vibe. I definitely enjoyed the pint of Blind Pig I had while visiting recently. After that I tried a number of other local IPA’s I was not previously familiar with. This is one of the better craftbeer establishments in town...right up their with Bailey’s Taproom and maybe just a notch below Belmont Station.
Cool place with a bit of a rowdy vibe.Loud music, pinball tables, a bit all over the place. Long taplist on a tv screen. I understand the efficiency advantage of an electronic taplist, but why do they always have to look so lame? Takes a bit of the edge away. Anyway the selection is good, lots of PNW beers and some nice (though not too uncommon) European beers. The beers I had here were the best I had in Portland. Lots of great stuff, very fresh. Helpful bartender. Would visit again.
Visited on a Monday afternoon in November 2015. Large industrial style establishment. Great long bar, some pinball machines and a shed load of decent beer from OR and mostly local states. Boneyard and Russian River beers on draft is always good. Decent prices. Great bar. Must visit if in Portland.
Visited midday on a Wednesday. Very close to The Beer Mongers on a bust section of SE Division Street. New looking place with an enormous patio out front with tons of picnic tables, with more bike racks then I have ever seen in one place. The interior features 2 big garage doors that open to the patio, along with a pinball room, a few tables and seats at the bar. 50 or great beers on draft along with 250 bottles (also available to go). The website was perfectly up to date, which is always appreciated. Interesting music playing, though a bit loud inside, despite the sparse crowd. There is a burrito place next door that people were ordering from. This seems to be focused on being the local for the independent bike culture. As noted by others, cash only.
82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Visited here during RBSG 2015 with Ferris, brokensail and other RBians. Great lineup of taps mostly local and ALL quality, excellent bottle list, chill vibe with plenty of outdoor seating. I look forward to returning some day! Bring cash-- no cards accepted.
Lots of space inside and outside on the big patio.
The tap selection is amazing. Not just quantity but quality. Had some beers I’ve been looking for for some time. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. This is one of the places I would like to visit again... and again... and again.
