Place rating incorporating the feedback of Mrs. JCB, who visited this place on a recent trip. She raved about the location, selection, and especially the world class service. Fabulous place to stock up on Nantahala, Wicked Weed, Burial, Pisgah, and others, along with a very good selection of domestic and import craft.

Visited while in town for the night on the 4th of July. I’m a big craft beer fan and wanted to stock up for my week long trip to Jekyll Island, GA. I was not disapointed I stopped here to do so! Fairly large place with a clean, appealing, easy to navagate layout and a huge selection of craft beer and wine. Some craft beers on tap, however I was shopping and didn’t really look to see how many taps they had or what was being offered on them. Ending up getting a cart and filling it up because I found so many beers I wanted to try. Prices were average on most,(around $8-$10 per 22 oz bomber, $9-$12 per six pack), but great on more than a few, (I found and bought several good bombers for around $4-$6). There were also a small but good selection of singles available for around $2 each. They had numerous local and simi-local offerings, which were great. The guy working, (don’t remember his name), was friendly, knowledgeable of the beers they were selling, and very helpful in recommendations. I ended up spending over $100, but could have easily spent double that had I had the money. I didn’t realize they closed at 9:30PM. I was there until around 9:45 shopping and not once did the guy working rush me or act like he was annoyed that I was keeping him open. In fact he never mentioned it once. It wasn’t until I was looking at their website later that night that I saw the hours. Actually he was talking beer with me and recommending things after they should have been closed. And keep in mind this was the night of 4th of July. Now that is great customer service! Between this place and Wicked Weed, (which were the only two craft beer places I had time to visit), I’m sold and am already planning a beer trip to Asheville next Spring. Can’t wait!

Nice clean looking place. Beers were well organized. The selection was top tier, although I’d seen everything at other top NC stores as well. Good growler list. Fun place to get bottles.

Awesome bottle shop. Stopped in right after they opened one morning, spoke with the owner for a while, he help point out some of the local beers and other items that were a little harder to find. Was a little too early to try some of their taps, he said to come back later, but it just didn’t work out. Was able to pick up quite a few interesting items to share with the folks back home. Well worth a stop whe you are in the area.

Nice store in Asheville that has a bunch of fun taps in addition to a ton of bottles. THey had some Allagash Midnight Brett during my visit, which was kind of cool. Some of the bottles were a little too dusty and not much is refrigerated. Still a pretty cool store.

Excellent selection of regionals and a very good selection of both American and import craft brews, Growler fills, small tasting area and knowledgeable and helpful staff. Most everything is available in singles. Prices are a bit high, but Asheville has become such a tourist town and this is right near Biltmore Village, so they’re not unreasonable for the area.

Awesome beer store in Asheville for not only NC beer but great gems across the country. Huge selection of NC beers, lots of rarities from Pisgah and Wicked Weed. They offer some one off six pack bottles but not a ton or mix a six, so not a huge tickers spot. 20 drafts to growler only but they give you tastes if you ask. Service was nice and helpful and most importantly not pushy and liked to talk beer. Clean new feel to the place. I’d be here all the time if close. Great spot.

A large shop given over to wine at the front, nicely displayed on racks and barrels, and at the back an eclectic range of American and European beers. There’s a small bar and café area where they made us very welcome as part of the RBWG 2014 "meet and greet" evening and offered a choice of four draft beers. A fun experience and well worth visiting. > Very cool store+tasting bar+bottles available to drink on premise

>> Similar awesome set up to City Beer Store in SF. There’s a front large wine area and a large back beer area. In the center are two tap systems and two bars. Small but interesting selection of local specialties including some rare offerings like Pisgah Chocolatized Vortex II. Some beers are fridged but for the most part they are out warm. Nicely organized at least by brewery and by region. Found some interesting things like Basque Sidra, La Rulles Estivale, no De La Senne was strange, Pisgah BA Vortex II (small bottle release). 900 bottles doesn’t seem too far off- the selection is insane. Staff was friendly. Glassware selection was extensive. Loved this place.
