Cool little surprise. Walked in for lunch on a visit to Asheville and ended up staying for a couple hours, then coming back for a movie later that night. Pizza was solid, and beer was decent. Very cool vibe; my favorite part was the mugs you can reserve and have hanging on the walls there if you’re a local. Worth a stop if you find yourself in Asheville.
We walked by the downtown brewery on the way to Hi Wire, but did not visit, so I was excited to get to go to this location the following day. We stopped in for a late lunch. Our pizza was pretty tasty actually. Sesame crust worked better than expected. Portion sizes are enormous. Feels more like a family spot than a brewery, and judging by the number of keg deliveries, I’m guessing they don’t do much (if any) brewing at this location. They had a good number of their beers available to sample, and I thought all were solid. The standout for me was a Neapolitan stout on nitro, which sounded questionable, but worked great. I also enjoyed Ninja Bread Man quite a bit. It seemed like the official hangout of the hipster parent, as you could get yourself a beer and then the kids could play video games. Kind of genius actually. They show movies too. It’s somewhere between a brewpub and a chuckie cheese, and yet it seems to work. Good job by them.
Super busy spot, with several drafts on, can do a taster. Got some help from one of the brewers in picking out beers. Have a pretty cool thing called mystery hop, where they tell you one of 7 possible hops and you have to guess which hop it is. Solid beers, decent pizza. Worth a quick stop.
Pretty good pizza, decent beer, fun laid-back atmosphere. Family friendly establishment. Service was very good. They had a good variety of their own brews including their year-rounds plus a few seasonals.
A converted old movie theater. Family and I were looking to do something on a rainy day. Lunch, beers and a movie for the kids. Awesome idea. Frankenweenie!

Asheville Brewing beers themselves can be rather average but this place was pretty good regardless. I had some spicy chicken tenders that meant business! HOT! But they were good. They had a good selection of their beers on tap with a sample available. Not a MUST visit with everything else around there but a good stop nonetheless.
Stopped here to try out some local brews while in the area. You get to pick your own flights, which is nice, so you can try exactly what you want For a small place, they have quite a few brews on tap, mostly their own and almost all local. Food is decent, but nothing to speak all that highly of. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
