Note that there used to be a restaurant here, which is why some the earlier reviews mention food. It’s now literally just a bar set up in the middle of the brewery (no food or anything). I actually think it’s kind of charming in a way. You drinking beers literally in the shadow of the machines that made them. Bartender is really great and really knowledgeable about their beer. Probably my favorite brewery in Detroit. Just make sure you eat before you come.
January 2010. Visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday in January ... I think there were 6 other customers. The restaurant space is actually pretty nice, with a big fireplace (not being used) way at the end, and a nice overlook into the cavernous brewery. The bartender was Johnny on the Spot and the food was downright yummy. They had a couple brews on tap that I’d never seen before, along with a couple of their standards. Overall, definitely worth the stop. (Brewery #490)
