Made a quick stop by here on our way out of Montreal. Fridges lined the back corner of this smaller depanneur. Had a really good selection of both big name and micro-brews. Selection was well organized with prices labelled. Also had a good variety of glassware and munches.
Noticed some prices were up to $0.50 less than other stores.
Easy to get to with a lot of street parking along St. Denis.
Well worth a visit!
Hidden convenience store in Montreal. They have a decent selection of craft beers but be aware that the bottles can be aged. I found some with a big layer of dust on it.
If you want fresh beers, you need to know what just got released. You can find some very nice beers too, that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.
One of the few hidden gem depanneur in Montreal. Small but has a quite impressive selection of local micros in a few fridges in the back, including quite a few I couldn’t find in Peluso. Definitely worth a stop when in the area.
Another decent dep for beers. I had my eye out for a few new releases from Dunham but had no luck finding them here or over at Épicerie Unique. Having said that, still plenty of choice with local breweries on hand.
Not a terribly big store. And it’s made to feel even smaller by the incredible amount of garbage that is packed in here. But, they’ve got a rather good beer selection, at least for a visitor like myself.
The first couple coolers are mostly just cheap macro lagers, but plenty of malt liquor ticks to be had for a connoisseur of that fine style. If you continue on there are lots of beers from LTM, Simple Malt, Dieu du Ciel, Dunham, and all sorts of brands/labels I didn’t recognize at all.
Prices seemed pretty reasonable and they had a deal for buying in bulk as well. The woman working the register was friendly, too. It’s not too out of the way, so I’d say it’s worth a quick stop.
This is a rather small place. The aisle are so so small you can barely see what’s on the bottom of the shelves. This is what we call in Quebec a "depanneur" meaning a corner stopre.. At the back of the store, you can find the beers. They have as principle to keep some rare beers in the backstore to sell later. For example if they buy 4 caisses of one beer, they sell 1 and keep the others for other weeks. So whenever you go there you can find some rare beers not available elsewhere. Just be careful these beers are beers that can be aged. Even though I didn’t need service, the help I got was pretty awesome. He even got me some beers in the back store reserved to sell for later. Prices are cheaper than anywhere else. The big downside for me is the parking, it’s quite hard to find a parking near that beer store. Overall it was a great experience
2013-XX? Little convenience store with a bunch of coolers in the back. Pretty decent selection of Quebec beers including some rarities but I was disappointed to realize when I got home that a lot of the hoppy rarities I bought were hard to find because they hadn’t been made in quite some time. As a result they were on the stale side. Worth a stop if you are in the neighbourhood nonetheless. Check bottling dates where possible!
