Nice though somewhat touristy. Augustiner from wooden casks, which doesn’t seem that common even for Munich. Rushed but friendly service. Good for street side beer drinking. You might be lucky to fall into conversation with locals.

A huge and centrally located place, but with a nice wooden old school intérieur. The beers are the standard Augustiner selection. Service is nice comparably fast, although the place is always busy. Pricing is fairly standard for this inner city area. It’s never a wrong choice to go here, but neither are many other places nearby.
We came here 31.05.2016. Very big place with 3 or 4 floors. In the center of Munich, hence quite touristic and not focused on beers. They did not even have the fantastic May bock, which is traditional for this season of the year. Service was unusually friendly and the sausage I had was excellent.
Nice place, good scene. Very central. Selection is pretty limited, but the beers are quite good. Lots of locals, or maybe that’s just because a Bayern Munich soccer game was on (was fun to watch, although soccer in general is boring as F). Didn’t try the food.
Large room seperated in departments. Long wooden tables. Lot of daylight from above. Quick service. Beer ok. Food OK and in plenty. Waiters elegant but a bit non personal. Situated at the pedestrian street makes easy to fond. Ladies in dirndl but no flesh shown.

My favorite place in Munich. Great beer and the food was awesome. Waiter was funny and helped translate menu. Loved sitting outside.

A nice place to have some Augustiner beers near the touristy Marienplatz area. Good traditional Bavarian cuisine to pair with your beers. My wife had the helles and I the dunkle- both were fantastic. Service was a bit slow/rushed, but the ground floor was packed so I assume that was a bit of the reason. I enjoyed our visit.
