If you want good beer and are really hungry- this is the place in the Texas Hill Country. This place reminds me of an old, royal German hunting club. Order the Roulander (thin roast beef) with the German Potato salad and the red cabbage. For dessert, the Apple Strudel is marvelous. They have about 12 beers on draft (11 European), and 44 other varieties in bottles. We got these big glasses of German beer for only $4 and $5. I am glad that our son brought us here

Ambiance - wanna-be German beer garden tourist trap. Service - stood at the door waiting for someone to greet us. Finished perusing the beer list before they greeted us, so we left. Selection - A lot of German beers, which is nice. But the only craft beer were from Real Ale.

Nothing too spectacular. Offerings leaning mostly to the German imports which should be an obvious choice for anyone paying attention. Very enjoyable place when friends and former boss are in attendance and he’s putting the tab on his company card.

Wonderful lil’ place within walking distance of everything on Main Street. Nice staff, good selection, relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful town. A must stop for any visit to Fredericksburg. Plus, the owner went to my high school, B.F. Terry High School in Rosenber, TX. Not that that should matter, but it’s kinda cool to meet someone from your alma mater (even if you could give a retarded llamas butt about your high school alma mater) in such a random corner of the world.
