visited during lunch after helping my brother do some installs. service was friendly, not very fast, but it is a laid back atmosphere so it was all good with me. the pizza was very good, hot italian sausage was a winner. had around 8 brews on tap. the ones i had weren’t bad or mind blowing. i’ll stop by again if i am in the area.
visited here two weeks ago on a picture perfect summer evening. very clean, ski lodge type of atmosphere. the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was good. the beer was hit and miss. the hefe was awful, the amber ok, the IPA average, the porter pretty good and the breakfast stout tastey and full-bodied. sitting out on the second floor deck on a gorgeous evening was heaven.
Our waiter would visit the table next to us and then walk out of his way to not visit our table. What an asshole thing to do. In fact, no one seemed to be getting good service. The pizza was very good. The beer is average with several varieties bottled and/or in party pigs.
After skiing the usual spot to stop has always been Breck Brewery. I am a fan of some of their seasonal brews but overall not very impressed with their beers. A twenty minute wait at Breck sent me down the street to Backcountry. I wasn’t expecting much. The atmosphere is laid back, not as crowded as Breck and alot cooler than DAM. Lodge atmosphere, high ceilings, two nice pool tables, fireplace and the all essential Ms. PacMan. The IPA was well crafted with a great aroma. The porter was a nice drink. I’d say its the best all around brewery in the area. I give it a 15 for that reason. Check it out.

Was here in the evening after a wrap up of a conference I had in Keystone. Quaint little brewpub with pretty good selection of beers, good selection of carry out bottles (650ml) and above average pizza. Tried several of there standard on tap beers + 1 seasonal.
Stopped in while traveling on I-70. Big lodge appearance, spacious inside... I sat at the medium sized bar and sampled a couple of their beers. This is another place that is a restaurant #1, and the theme of that restaurant is "brewery"... the beer was decent enough, and I now see their bottles scattered around Colorado, so they’re doing well. The location is nice... high ceilings, lots of things to look at, which I guess is good. They have growlers and bottles ready to go in a fridge. Parking can be a pain because it’s on the main street corner in Frisco and you have to park behind the brewery in the strip mall area. Worth stopping if you’re in town.
