Cool place in a awesome suburb. I love Harajuku. The Harajuku ale, I loved it Edamame was nice, not the way we serve it over here, but when in Japan..
Cool place, a good respite from the madness of the streets.
Dropped in here on a rainy Sunday night and it was the best place to be. Good food, warm smoke-free atmosphere, excellent service and of course lots of excellent Baird Beers. Worth making a detour for for sure.
Great place tucked in behind Takeshita Dori in Harajuku. Baird beer mostly on tap with a guest beer and a hand pump beer as well. Food is Japanese style yakitori with some other otsumami available as well. Service was fine when I was there, the beers are most of standard Baird beers but if you’re looking for Baird and in the area than this is a great option.
We visited this Baird tap room on 1st of March 2015. They have 15 taps with Baird beer, 1 guest beer (Green Tea IPA from Stones = very good!!!) and one hand pump. All beers very well tapped and great temperature. Nice bar, good atmosphere, friendly service and beers are quite good especially the IPA’s.
Waded through the crowds of teenagers on the main street in Harajuku to get here Sunday afternoon. Close to Harajuku Station and Yoyogi Park. Bar on the second floor of the building, a little confusing finding the stairs on a first visit. Weird snaky shaped bar that kind of reminded me of Argilla Brewing in Delaware.
Nice selelction of Baird’s regular beers on the main menu, all which I’d seen at Bashimichi the other night. Also a handful of seasonals that were different and their location exclusive beer on hand pump. A few guest beers too. 1000 yen sampler set with any 3 Baird beers in 140 ml glasses.
Food was good, mostly Japanese style food. Had the wasabi potato salad and assorted yakitori. Yakitori was good though included chicken livers and tsukune (chicken meatballs with bits of cartilage) so you might want to ask before ordering that if you’re not into off-parts.
Friendly service and not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. Self-serve water available near the bar. Worth a stop if in the area, especially if sightseeing Yoyogi Park or Meiji Jingu.
Small cosy pub located in a backstreet of the young, popular and trendy Harajuku area. Serves most of Baird brews even though selection can be a little shorter than Naka-Meguro. Menu is focused on izakaya-style food with popular skewers, rice bowls and other tasty Japanese snacks. A nice option when in the Shibuya area, and one of the rare places opened for lunch on weekends.
Rather pleasant little bar, friendly staff, huge range of exclusively (I think) Baird beers, tasty bar snacks. I’d come back. I’d have given the selection higher marks but on the evidence of today’s selection you kind of need to like pale ales and not too distant cousins.
I went here 2-3 years ago when it was fairly new. Smack in the middle of Harajuku there was a small taproom with good Baird Beers & decent prices. At that time the service was ok but diｄn’t wow me or anything-average. The selection was the normal range of Baird but I don’t think they had 17 taps then more like 5-8. I guess I’ll have to check it out again sometime.
Great selection of great Baird beer. Fair prices for both beer and food. I always seem to find myself here at lunch, so can’t speak as to the atmosphere in the evening. Well worth a visit, especially for lunch, as you wont find many other places open.
If I was leaving in Tokyo I would probably go there every day! The bar is the right size and very well presented. This is for Baird beers to obviously you won’t expect to drink other beers. Food is great too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect too. You must go there when in Tokyo!
