The selection of taps is decent. a few specialty taps and then the standard taps. I love the options of serving size. Big fan of half pints. only gripe would be them serving pints of special release beer. they blow kegs in no time. would prefer just tasters of some of the more limited stuff. good service though and great ballast point beer.

Nice neighborhood, medium sized place, wasn’t too crowded during or Sunday afternoon visit. List of their brews on tap is huge, around 50 or so. Some special brews as well, didn’t get to catch Victory at Sea variants though. Quality wise what I’ve tried was OK, nothing more than that. Oh, and thanks to BeerandBlues2 for driving us here, we probably wouldn’t be able to see the place without him. Since I haven’t visited other BP locations hard to say if this one is a must see, but definitely a good place to try a lot of their beers.

one of my favorites places so far, great sampler, awesome food and service, maybe the store can be a bit better? but honestly pretty hard to beat and actually inexpensive.

Stop #2 on Birthday Brewery Tour. Didn’t eat. Did 3 flights, impressed with seasonals and one-off style list as well as the usual suspects. Great!

A nice neighborhood-ish location with a local food vendor set up out front selling some nice pub food, which I enjoyed. The bar is long and includes a gift shop and full production facility behind. There are plenty of taps with some intriguing recipes.

Nice tasting room, seating inside and out. Good service and beer. Big tap list of their main beers and a few special brews.

We fucking rinsed this place, massive tap list with lots of special brews. Very small though so get here early. Good place to drink on a sunny San Diego weekend. The chicago food van was awesome too.

Not sure how this slipped through the cracks but some how I haven’t rated this after visiting numerous times over the past 5 years. This is conveniently up the way from AleSmith but in a quieter residential area. For a large building the tasting room is kind of small. Plenty of room for 20-30 people but on Saturday mornings (these days) it gets busy with all the bicyclists that want to chug some beer after riding. Seriously, the whole front yard is full of bikes and it’s very difficult to get a table. And forget about getting a drink. That takes 30 minutes during those times, and when else is an out of towner going to stop in here? The upside is that parking a car is easy and there are tons of taps on. They occasionally do events here where they’ll have a dozen versions of Sea Monster or something. I know this is where they started distilling but I’m not sure if they have moved that to the new larger location or if it’s still done in the little closet in the back here. They do growlers and singles here too. Nice place; I should stop in more often when in SD.

Located where you don’t expect to find a tasting room. But this is quite nice, with a very nice patio. Nice selection of beers from Ballast Point, but maybe not a lot of rare brews. Worth a visit when in the area.

Nice brewery tap, excellent selection of own beers - finally one SD brewery that has its own gems! Outdoor seating as well. Service was very slow when we visited.
