A basement brewpub with a trendy feel - more a bar to be seen in than a beer bar although they do have a decent choice. Weíd eaten here once before and from memory the food was good. This time we went later in the evening when it was rather crowded and noisy, with throbbing music and necessarily shouted conversations.

We stopped in while visiting my daughter at school. As others have said, this place is located in the basement of an old building. You walk down a flight of old steps into the brewpub. The place itself had kitschy tables and chairs. One complaint would be that it was extremely loud. We had to yell at each other at the table in order to have a conversation, which I did not care for. Our server was slow to arrive and she didnít follow up well. I had a very spicy dinner, which was absolutely delicious by the way and worth stopping in just for that, I was long out of beer and she was no where to be seen. I could have easily ordered another beer or two while I was eating, but did not because of her inattentiveness. I would go back again just for the food alone. One of the better meals Iíve had in town.
We stopped there in late January with the Finger Lakes Beer Trail winter Passport. Late Friday night it was very crowded of course. Nice little under ground place. We felt very old in this college bar.
The place is in downstairs of an old building, which on a 90 degree day, was very welcoming because it was cooler. I came on a monday around 8pm and most of the tables were full as was the bar. They offered 4 different flights on menu, bandwagon flight, NY flight, american craft flight, and beginners flight (also craft). They carried 4 store made brews and 16 other taps (mostly NY beers). The bandwagon flight came with their Moving Day Blonde Ale, Strawberry Cream Ale, Pirate Eye PA, Raspberry Jalapeno Ale, and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (they ran out of their 5th selectio due to american craft brew week). The beers were okay, not bad but nothing great and the food was decent. The only downfall is public street parking but all and all a good place to visit.
I went here to pass a friday afternoon and have a couple of flights. I wasnít disappointed. The place is located down a flight of stone steps in the cellar but itís a tasteful bistro atmosphere. There are stone walls and white tablecloths, two rooms and a bar in each. The medal they won at the NYS TAP festival 2012 is on the wall. They have their own brewery flight and a flight that includes ithaca beer and southern tier, then they have one that includes great lakes and uinta. They have a bistro style menu that has good choices but I found that I went away without a burger and fries because itís 1/2 pound of beef. What am I gonna do with a half pound of beef on some bread? Thy have cocktails, and plenty of booze including bourbon, vodka, gin, rum and port. Nice place, nice time and I even met some nice people while I was there. It is not too expensive but the service is a little slow.
I was really looking forward to this place. Located in the basement of a funky old building, with brick walls, dark lighting - just what Ilike. They had 5 of their own beers on draft plus a slew of guest tap from all over. Got a flight of their 5 house brews. Nothing stood out, although I liked the Pirate Eye PA enough to get a full pint, and enjoyed it. The food was a bit pricy, but fresh and tasty. Got a good veggie burger with a side of mac and cheese. Dessert was excellent too. Waitress was very helpful and friendly. Worth checking out, but donít expect too much.
The restauarant is in a basement of a nice old building. Very attractive and well lit. The service is excellent, polite and attentive. The have great beers from local and international brewers on on tap, as well as their own brews. In fact, their own brews arenít even really front and center in their beer selection. And in fact, I didnít find their beers to be exceptional. However, the food was excellent. The prices were fairly reasonable as well. God overall.
