Small place located very close to Håndverkstuene. Very talkative owner that sat down with the guests. Most of the guests where regulars and it seemed that most knew eachother. The guests even hooked up their own Ipods to play music in the stereo system. Nice service. Decent selection of beers, some norwegian micros but also some interesting beers on bottles.
I like this place! The bartenders are funny and easy to talk to. They do have some strong opinions on what’s good and what’s not, but it’s amusing to just sit there and listen to arguments while enjoying some great beers. This is also a good place for people who loves cognac and cigars.
Atmosphere is great and the bar-keeper a nice fellow that seems to know what hes talking about. One of the few cigar-bars left in Norway. Not a big selection but a good one. When i was there they had Haandbryggeriet Dobbel Dose on tap.
Small place with a pleasant atmosphere. 3 taps (Nøgne Ø, Budweiser Budvar and Borg) and ca 15 bottles. Not a very skilled staff, but you are likely to find the owner there, and he will not hesitate to give you his opinion on the different beers. Large closed off smoking area.
Nice and friendly bar, hidden away in a small courtyard in an office area that is more or less emtpy off office hours. Once I found the bar, that wasn’t empty though. Modern interior with a small seating area by the entrance and the bar and a larger seating area one staircase up. There’s also a smoking room at the back, since this is also a cigar place. Not a huge selection of beer, but good quality. Nögne Ö IPA on tap and several beers from Nögne Ö and Haandbryggeriet in bottles. Some interesting imported beers as well. And a good cognac and whiskey selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Recommended.
One of the best things about this place is the location, hidden away in the small courtyard of (among other things) a scientific research institute. Nice and quiet place, with the option of sitting outside. The interior is a bit weird. They had a nice selection of bottled beer, mostly importet, but also norwegian micro’s. I enjoyed a really nice Nøgne Ø IPA on tap/cask. You also find a nice selection of single malts and cognac.
Cognac bar with a healthy selection of norwegian micros on bottle and cask, some good imports too. Usually some harder to find norwegian beers. The owner is knowledgable, the others.. not so much. Nice and quiet place.
Modern beer bar, the interior is not cosy according to my taste. Situated in a sterile business / office part of the city. But the staff is friendly, and they have a limited but nice selection of Belgian beers and Norwegian microbrews.
Tucked away in the centre of Oslo, lies Bar & Cigar. It’s a cozy, friendly place with some of the most interesting Norwegian beers in bottles, and every now and then there’s cask beer available. As usual in Norway, the beers are pricey, but at least they are good. The patio is a nice place to enjoy shadow on a hot afternoon, but there’s usually some skaters disturbing the peace.
