Other than the art on the side of the building I would have no idea this place is even here. I have wanted to check out Barcade since it opened so we stopped in after brunch at Memphis Taproom.
I am pretty sure we were the first people in the place that day. Selection was pretty good, some leftovers from PBW I think. I decided to go with a Barrel Aged Siberian Night, don’t see that every day. Service was good, but we were the only people there after all. We had just eaten so no food on this trip.
Once I got my beer it was time to play some games. All the games are .25 which is awesome as it allows you to play lost of them for not very much money. All of the classics are there and I had no trouble playing the ones I wanted to play.
Overall a really fun place to hang out. I am not sure if I would like this place if it was packed but on a day like this it was very enjoyable. I will return for sure.
an ode to retro gaming and craft beer. Half the space dedicated to old arcade games, half a heavy wood bar. Hefty tap list, lots of top notch beers offered. Some pub grub and light fare also available.
A huge space that was much more crowded than other bars in the area. Clearly Barcade’s a hit with people in the area. Youngish (nobody over 30) crowd. While there’s a massive area dedicated to gaming, most people seemed to be content to socialize in the bar area. The draft list was pretty big (25ish taps) and varied. There’s less of a focus on locals here than at other bars in the area, though I sort of welcomed the change of pace since I had been disappointed by the local stuff I tried earlier in my crawl. Velvet Merlin was really well priced, so I ended up killing a few pints of it before moving on. Very friendly service to match the energetic, positive atmosphere. Overall, a fun spot. I’ll be back.
Amazing, high end draft list! I’m live in New England so most of the breweries they have on tap I can’t get. So any out-of-towner should hit this place up.
The sandwich I had was really damn tasty. (Koren Cheese steak ) Plus for entertainment they have all the classic arcade games I grew up with. Pac-Man, Frogger, Burger Time, Donkey Kong, etc.
Really a fun place to sip craft beer and play games. I would return here or try any of their other locations.
I like this place, $0.25 classic arcade games and great beer makes for a great time.
I’ve now been here at least 5 times and would like to add a few things about here. First off, the staff has always been friendly. I have had no issues at the door or inside and the service is usually quick. The selection is pretty large and there tends to be a few really great beers on at once. The prices are agreeable and they clearly note the prices and size of the pour.
This is an excellent bar, my score of 80 feels really low compared to how much I like this place.
Great selection and events. Crowd varies between preppy and hipster but mostly young. Great selection of vintage video games - if I were allowed I would play Spy Hunter all night.

like the other barcades, good vibe, lots of good american craft beers, good range of styles, from sour to pilsner to roasty beers. the sandwiches are very good, and they have a good sandwich/beer special -- good value.
I remember squealing like a little girl when I found out about Barcade. It did not disappoint. A little dimly lit but otherwise it feels like the perfect blend of an old bar and a new 80’s arcade. Great selection of craft beers including some rares and one-ofs from various US breweries. The bar staff is very friendly though there is no table service. Food is great for what it is. Not much of a place for sitting down for a meal but what little fare they have is usually very tasty. The games are the centerpiece of the establishment with a great selection of late 80’s arcade games. Definitely worth a trip or 5.
Place for craft beer and old school video games. Fuckin Rampage man! I like that they post high scored for each game on a chalkboard. Basically a warehouse type place...rafters and concrete floors. Good beer, good staff. Id visit again for sure.
Stopped by Barcade after hitting up Frankford and Fette Sau. Big bar area and standing room in the back with the standard Barcade formula. Lots of games, maybe a bit less than the Brooklyn location - I’m not sure. Solid variety to the tap list, but at the time we visited nothing really grabbed my attention. Seems like they get in a lot of solid events though.
